3. How we use your data

In short: We use your data to operate your account, display your garden-related content, fix bugs in the app, and show you relevant advertisements.

To operate the Application and Website, and sync your content
To operate identification features: Images uploaded for plant, pest, or disease identification are analyzed by an automated system (e.g., OpenAI or a custom artificial intelligence model) to perform the identification. These images are not used for marketing purposes and are not shared with third parties without your express consent.
To personalize the user experience (e.g., localized tips)
For bug fixing, security, and performance measurement
To display and measure advertisements
To contact you about new features and important notices
To comply with legal obligations

4. Advertising and analytics

The application may display ads using Google technologies (AdMob/Ad Manager). These may process device data, IP address, app usage data, and the advertising ID to serve and measure ads.

Your choices:

You can choose between personalized and non-personalized ads in the app’s settings (or consent form)
You can limit or reset your advertising ID in your device’s settings
Analytics (if optional) can be disabled in the app’s settings

With service providers who assist in data processing (e.g., hosting, ad serving)
With authorities in case of a legal obligation
In the event of a business transaction (e.g., merger, acquisition)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies on the website and SDKs in the application for functionality, analytics, and advertising purposes. We ask for your consent in the EU/EEA region.

We retain your data as long as your account is active. Upon a deletion request, we will permanently remove your data within 30 days (with legal exceptions).

8. Data security

We use technical and organizational measures (e.g., encryption, access control) to protect your data. 100% security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data, request the restriction of processing, object to processing, and the right to data portability. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

You can exercise these rights by sending a request to biogarden365@gmail.com or, where possible, directly in the Profile / Account Settings section of the application. You can also initiate the deletion of your account within the application.

If you believe our data processing violates legal regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority in your place of residence.

10. Children’s privacy

Biogarden365 is not intended for children under 16 without parental consent. If a minor has provided data, please contact us for its deletion.

11. International data transfer

Your data may be processed outside the EU (e.g., by Google/Firebase). In such cases, we apply legally appropriate safeguards.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The update date is visible at the top of the page.
